Creating beautiful personalized invitations was a wonderful way to enter the design field after art school, and I’ve enjoyed designing them ever since.
After my time at SCAD and serious consideration of my career future, I decided to seek out traditional graphic design and production roles, after which I landed one in 2014 working for a small crafting and invitation company. They had just purchased a large press and needed someone to run the personalized invitation portion of the business who had a background in design and customer service. The majority of these invitations involved wedding suites, save-the-dates, baptisms, graduation parties, luncheons, and Christmas greetings.
